We Donate Excess Materials (and our time) to Nonprofits

The Welman Project

The Richardson Public Library

The Richardson Public Library

An amazing nonprofit creative reuse center in Fort Worth that offers teachers the opportunity to shop for free, filling their cart with as much "stuff" as they need for their classroom-- from arts and crafts items to STEM project materials to office supplies, classroom decor and more (and when they're tired from all that free shopping, there's an awesome "teacher's lounge" donated by IKEA where they can enjoy an espresso and meet other educators!). There is also a boutique where the public can can shop-- if you're visiting Ft. Worth don't miss this oh-so-COOL and creative place! Untrash Creative Reuse has donated its "extra" items (things we don't have space for), as well as volunteer hours, to The Welman Project.

From upcycled earrings made of reused leather and tin cans, to cat castles made of old cardboard boxes, the Richardson Public Library has long promoted reuse on a regular basis in its FREE community workshop programming. Untrash Creative Reuse is proud to have powered and facilitated more than a dozen creative workshops for the Library since 2023, from a monthly Creative Community Circle to decoupage workshops, a reuse gift wrapping drop-in and two "Create and Donate" events benefitting the Richardson Animal Shelter, where we made pet toys and pet blankets! We've also donated some of our excess materials (like board games) to other Library programming.

For the past two years, Untrash Creative Reuse has powered and facilitated the Children's Craft Table (and adults love it, too!) at the annual Jingle Bash that kicks off the holiday season for many DFW-area vendors and shoppers who love to SHOP LOCAL! www.handmadedfw.com
